About AMP Lab

AMP Lab started in 2009 and is among the first few to offer preventive health and conservative treatments. The treatments or interventions are administered by either an exercise physiologist, a sports scientist, or a physiotherapist in Singapore, depending on the client’s needs. Or, they could be administered by more than one practitioner under a single pathway.

Our mission is to get you moving and living life to the fullest. And we believe that we can do this through prescribing the right exercises and conservative treatments. Every client will be supported by a specialist on their health and fitness journey for the best outcome.

About AMP Lab

Attitude, Mind, and Physical

At AMP Lab, AMP stands for Attitude, Mind, and Physical—but more importantly, it reflects how we believe real, lasting health is built.

It starts with Attitude. Most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what to do—they struggle with getting started or staying consistent. Whether it’s finding time to exercise, managing pain, or simply taking better care of yourself, it begins with the decision to show up. As practitioners, we don’t just treat—we help you build that mindset, step by step.

Then comes the Mind. This is about becoming more aware of your body—how you move, how you feel, and what your body is telling you. Instead of blindly following exercises, we help you understand why you’re doing them. This makes your training and recovery more intentional, and far more effective.

Finally, Physical is the result. Better strength, smoother movement, less pain—these are not rushed outcomes, but natural progressions when attitude and awareness are in place.

What makes AMP Lab different is that we see you as more than just an injury or a session. We guide you to build habits, confidence, and understanding—so you don’t just feel better for now, but stay healthier for the long run.

Team Etienne 1

Etienne Ding

Exercise Physiologist / Sport Scientist

Etienne has coached elite athletes in sport-specific fitness, especially in team sports such as football and volleyball. He has also brought and shared his expertise to the general public as he believes sports and exercise science is beneficial to all levels of sporting expertise.

In his line of work, he has supported the national youth teams and senior teams at several major international competitions such as the Youth Olympics Game in 2010, Asian Football Confederation games, World Cup Qualifiers and ASEAN Games.

Aside from coaching, he lectures the topics of exercise prescription and coaching science at institutes of higher learning in Singapore. He hopes that by sharing and educating his knowledge and experiences through these platforms, coaches and athletes will have an added edge to their practice or sport through evidence-based methods.

Team Cherie 1

Cherie Tan

Principal Physiotherapist

With experience since 2012, our Lead Physiotherapist Cherie delivers a thorough, systematic, and highly personalised approach to care of her clients.

Incorporating the Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI) method, her treatment focuses on releasing the body’s connective tissue aka fascia, based on each individual’s unique pattern of tension, and then realigning it.

This global approach results in improved posture, movement, and overall function and performance. Hence rendering it effective towards a wide range of conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and everyday aches and pains.

Cherie is highly skilled in dry needling and this is what many individuals seek her out for. She
specialises in lesser-known conditions such as jaw clicking/locking, teeth grinding/clenching,
headaches and scar tissue work.

Her treatment repertoire includes other options such as shockwave therapy, running gait analysis
and correction, sports taping, Clinical Pilates and individualised exercise prescription.

Known for her sincere and caring manner, Cherie is deeply committed to delivering meaningful results. But don’t just take our word for it—have a look at our Google reviews to see what her patients have shared!

Our Team

Team Kiki 1

Kiki Ruan

Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI) Practitioner / ScarWork Therapist

Kiki is an Anatomy Trains Structural Integration (ATSI) practitioner and ScarWork therapist.

Her work focuses on the fascial network, addressing how patterns of tension, compensation, and restriction develop across the body rather than at a single point of discomfort. Where appropriate, she incorporates ScarWork to support the integration of scar tissue and its impact on mobility and overall function.

She works with individuals experiencing postural strain, recurring discomfort, movement restriction, and residual tension or scar-related limitations following injury, supporting improvements in movement, coordination, and the body’s ability to adapt to load.

Her sessions are structured and collaborative, helping clients better understand their body and how it changes over time.
